KEY POINT: God is weaving His purpose through our story

 

TEXT: Luke 1:5-17

 

Life doesn’t always go as expected (vv. 5-7)

Dealing with the dissonance

 

Allowing their faith to rise above our circumstance

 

Yet God is working through events to advance his purpose (vv. 8-10)

Our dissonance does not mean that God’s not up to something

God has a way of getting us in the right place at the right time in order to accomplish his purpose

 

Our prayers are not unheard (vv. 11-17)

God cares about us; he is not indifferent to our struggles

 

God is working to bring joy and delight to his people, to restore rejoicing

The restoration of joy flows from the restoration of lives

 

In the Waiting

 

Keep Worshipping

You never know what may happen when you come into God’s presence!

 

Keep Aligning with His Purpose

Pursue a life of righteousness: a life that arises out of our faith rather than giving into our frustrations

 

Keep Interceding

God is working even when we don’t feel it, or see it!

 

Keep Trusting

Trust: Totally resting until the Savior’s time

 

RESPONSE: Lord, I will trust you in the waiting!
